What is Wake Surfing?

Surfing the wake from a boat, of course. It sounds simple but there's a bit more that goes into it to make it safe, fun and consistent.

The Right Boat

To make a wake thats surfable you need a specialized vessel with: Ballast tanks to build the wake size. Wake tabs to make it the perfect shape. Most importantly, a propeller that's under the boat, far from the swim deck, making the sweet spot safe for surfing.

Safety Equipment

A good life vest is a must, for safety, and to help you float as you prepare to get on your feet. Like wakeboarding or waterskiing, you start by floating behind the boat, and stand up by holding a rope as the boat gently tugs you to your feet. We have vests for all sizes.

Wake Surf Boards

These special boards are like small versions of regular surfboards. Made of fiberglass or epoxy in various sizes and shapes for different purposes. Smaller boards are ideal for spins and stunts, while larger boards with bigger fins mimic a surfy, longboard type feel.
